Alternative to Fabric Softener

These dryer balls are a great alternative to dryer sheets (which I'm allergic to, it seems) and liquid fabric softeners which can also be irritating—in more ways than one. One dryer ball in the dryer softens the fabric, seems to defeat static and does not add anything to your clothing.

The only down-side I've found is that they sometimes find their way up a sleeve or pant leg, which you my overlook in your eagerness to get the laundry put away, and that you may then blame the cats for the mysterious disappearance. My apologies to the cats.
